In 1982, Barry Cohen co-founded Seide Jonas & Cohen, Inc. to handle insurance coverage for commercial, personal, life and health customers.  With over 30 years of insurance brokerage experience handling high profile clients with operations throughout the United States, Barry co-founded Cohen Partners in 2000.  His team provides all forms of insurance, risk management and financial solutions to a range of individuals and companies.

Barry wants only the best for his customers.  So, he derives a great deal of satisfaction out of introducing his clients to other financial service companies that can meet his customer’s needs.  By expanding the depth and breadth of his relationships Barry strengthens not only the Cohen Partners team, but also the connection with other insurance companies.  In that way, Barry ensures his customers are provided with the best products.

Mark works closely with clients to help them understand their current insurance needs and the products they currently use.  This, in turn, helps both client and Cohen Partners recognize the pros and cons of the client’s present program.  It then becomes easier to define and implement a solution that improves a client’s planning and solves their concerns in a manner that the client fully understands. 

Presently Mark has benefits division responsibility, which is to ensure that every client, whether an individual or a business, has their financial needs and programs assessed and reviewed.

Mark started in the insurance and financial planning business 1983, over 22 years ago.  The benefit of this experience gives him the savvy to both understand the client’s needs and wants, as well as provide an in depth understanding of the various products/services that can be utilized to meet client objectives.

Before becoming an insurance broker 10 years ago, Bruce enjoyed successful careers in both the hospitality industry as well as real estate, both here in New York and in Southern California.  After a brief stint managing a branch office of one of the largest personal lines brokerages in the northeast, Bruce has gone on to develop a substantial expertise in the area of professional liability, including medical, legal and accounting malpractice, as well as related issues such as directors & officers liability, employment practices liability, and errors & omissions insurance. 

Having been associated with Barry Cohen at Seide, Jonas & Cohen, Inc. through early 2000, Bruce recently returned to Cohen Partners’ midtown Manhattan offices, having founded his own boutique brokerage firm earlier this year.  Now, in close collaboration with Barry and his staff, Bruce provides an even higher level of expertise in his specialties to Cohen Partners’ clientele.

A native New Yorker and resident of Manhattan, Bruce is an active member of The Forum Club, the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce, and the Professional Liability Underwriting Society, through which he is currently pursuing his Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (“RPLU”) designation.
